Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility is required in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pathology is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of medical students, pathology residents, and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include regular participation in the surgical pathology, GI pathology, perinatal, and autopsy services and on call rotation. The Division of Anatomic Pathology has seen sustained inpatient and outpatient specimen growth over recent years with projected growth on par with recent growth. In addition, the Division has a robust consult service, both surgical and autopsy, and a growing portfolio of innovations within the areas of education, digital pathology, informatics, and quality improvement. Individuals with an interest and/or expertise in any area of pediatric pathology, including but not limited to pediatric surgical pathology, GI pathology, autopsy, perinatal pathology, education, quality improvement, digital pathology, and/or informatics, are welcome to apply.
