Job Description Summary
Serve as a key member of the Wharton Global Family Alliance (WGFA) with end to end responsibilities for a number of key tasks. This position requires the incumbent to oversee operations, marketing and administration for the Alliance. The incumbent will manage relationships and communications with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, corporate executives, and families. The Associate Director will co-manage board relationships, along with the Academic Director. This position supervises work study students.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule at the discretion of the manager. This position is contingent on continued funding.

Job Description

Manage all activities for WGFA, including operations, marketing. Work with significant global family businesses and family offices with net worth ranging from $200 million to $10 billion. Manage the interaction with international research partners and interacting with sponsors.

Manage high profile international conferences, and actively participate in the Executive Committee of the WGFA, the group that sets priorities for WGFA. Participate in Executive Committee discussions, work with faculty director to set agenda, and prepare content.

Project Manager for the Director of WGFA: Develop and manage relationships and communications with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, corporate executives, and families. Develop and review partnership proposals, develop and plan meeting content and strategies, and participate in meetings. Develop and implement marketing plans for the WGFA in conjunction with the School's Communications and Marketing Department.

Assume full responsibility for a wide variety of tasks related to teaching and research that includes course preparation for MBA students and executive participants.

Co-manage board relations with WGFA Advisory Board. Plan meeting flow, strategize on content and material creation and organization meetings. Requires direct interaction with board members and participation in board meetings.

Manage and continually update the WGFA website.

Supervise and mentor the Federal Work Study students and student research assistants for the office and Faculty Director.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preferred candidate must possess the following skills: -Excellent verbal & written communications skills; -Willing & able to handle large variety of tasks; exceptional attention to details necessary; capable of balancing multiple projects. -Must be able to work independently and exercise initiative, as well as be a strong team player. -Ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult situations; ability to work in a demanding, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment; -Experienced in scheduling meetings/conferences and managing complex schedules working on a global platform. -Outstanding interpersonal skills; experience working with people at all levels; excellent problem solving skills required; must be able to recognize deadlines and prioritize work accordingly. -Highly reliable, dependable and excellent organizational skills. -Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Excel.
