Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Evaluation & Research, the Data Coordinator will input, extract, interact with, and manage program and grant-related data using different tools, systems and statistical software packages and submit reports to funders and staff as needed. The job will also entail supervising a team of student workers, other administrative responsibilities, and participation in regular meetings.

Job Description

The Data Coordinator will be tasked with coordinating the day-to-day operations for data collection and data entry across several Netter Center programs, performing manual and scanned database entry, manual data audits and extractions, conducting analyses of data for grant and center reporting, monitoring timelines, and supervising a team of student workers. The job will also entail other administrative responsibilities and participation in regular meetings. The qualified candidate will have experience with data entry and extraction, an understanding of basic evaluation methods, and familiarity with Netter Center programming and funding. **Position is contingent upon funding**

Core Duties
  • Perform database entry from program enrollment forms and attendance records
  • Perform data extractions for grant reporting and staff updates
  • Manage timelines, grant reporting requirements, databases, data queries, and data reporting processes
  • Meetings with Netter Center Staff & Evaluation Team Students
  • Update and maintain data entry protocols
  • Database Activity Setup & Data Entry (enrollment and attendance)
  • Conduct Data Audits and provide feedback to Netter Center Staff
  • Track and present a variety of metrics on reported progress
  • Conduct data analyses for grant and center reports
  • Ensure timely 21C grant reporting and support other grants as suitable/needed
  • Lead weekly data meetings and provide data entry training as needed to new members of the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Associate's Degree or Two Year College equivalent required, with 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience working with education programs, data management and reporting, and project management. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with data management, review and reporting (including collection, entry, extraction, data query and data auditing) required
  • Experience with CitySpan, REDCap, Qualtrics or other similar data entry systems required
  • Advance Excel sills required (experience with SPSS also preferred)
  • Understanding of quantitative research methodologies and basic evaluation methods
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy is required
  • Possess good data review methodologies that ensure accurate and precise data monitoring
  • Comfort in an "iterative environment" in which periodic rework and new guidelines are inevitable
  • Tolerance for performing repetitive data entry
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to contribute and work collaboratively to achieve goals
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to successfully mentor, train, teach, facilitate meetings, and support student workers
  • Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking and sound judgment. Ability to give constructive feedback and provide accountability oversight to ensure accurate and timely data reporting
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and time management
