Job Profile Title

Job Description Summary
Responsible for coordinating programs and other educational activities to increase financial literacy for approximately 550 PENNCAP (Student Support Services and University Components) students. In addition, works closely with Penn office of Student Financial Services to plan financial aid presentations relevant to low-income and first generation students served by the PENNCAP Program. Maintains comprehensive records of students' participation in such programs and ensures that all students are apprised of the financial wellness opportunities.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, in collaboration with campus partners, Financial Wellness programming designed to educate first generation and low-income PENNCAP students on topics intended to increase financial literacy.


  • Serve as liaison to Penn's Office of Student Financial Services (SFS), working closely with this office to coordinate and develop workshops related to the Penn financial aid package.


  • Produce end-of semester reports capturing extent to which students participated in Financial Wellness activities, as well as their level of satisfaction with programs offered.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, or related field;
  • Extensive knowledge of financial literacy curricula and instructional practices;
  • Knowledge of issues common among low-income and first-generation students;
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills;
  • Knowledge of financial aid/FAFSA processes;
  • Ability to develop and implement tracking protocols for follow-up and reporting purposes.
