Job Description Summary
This position will implement and oversee the daily operations of conducting clinical research trials in the Division of Urogynecology under the supervision of the WHCRC Director of Operations. The primary role of this position is to provide support to the research coordination staff in the division, and assist in the coordination of all projects. The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: Working closely with research staff, investigators and clinical staff to integrate research into the clinical flow. Provide clinical services, including phlebotomy and biospecimen processing at patient visits. Preparation and maintenance of regulatory documents including continuing reviews, modifications, and regulatory binders. Responsible for all aspects of clinical trial coordination including: subject recruitment, detailed data entry, subject visits and follow-up and regulatory documentation. Work with Director of Operations to plan and lay groundwork for upcoming outpatient studies. Actively troubleshoot and works as a problem solver in a large volume clinical setting to ensure full execution of protocols. Will participate in regulatory audits. Assist in the development of protocols, case report forms, and other study materials, and will insure they are submitted and approved by regulatory bodies as required.

Job Description

This position will support multiple projects for the Department)under supervision of the Director of Operations. The primary role of this position is the organization, coordination, and implementation of multiple clinical research studies. This will require training of clinical staff, regulatory documentation, monitoring of patients in studies, interaction with the PIs, as well as the management of multiple studies simultaneously. The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: Construction of source documents, databases, and case report forms. Present monthly study updates at meetings. Assist with data cleaning and quality control for large volume interim analyses. Responsible for all aspects of clinical trial specimen management including, but not limited to: participant enrollment/GCP,specimen transfer/collection/storage/retrieval, database management, and regulatory documentation for various single-site and multi-site clinical studies. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating the retrieval of identified biospecimens and providing these samples to members of the research team within and outside of PENN as stipulated in the research protocols. The manager will be responsible for the training and monitoring of Clinical Research Coordinators to ensure operating procedures are correctly followed and according to GCP. Provide feedback/solutions to Director, Project Managers, and clinical research staff.The Manager will also work with Director of Operations to plan and lay groundwork for upcoming studies. Actively troubleshoot and works as a problem solver in a large volume clinical setting to ensure full execution of protocols. Prior experience with Redcap, LabVantage, and human biospecimens is required. The ideal candidate will have strong computational skills and be proficient with computer-based systems including but not limited to Word, Excel, STATA, Redcap and other online database programs. The ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills is necessary. Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with the clinical research team, directors and primary investigators is required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
