SCAD seeks a full-time accessory design professor to join its faculty in historic Savannah, Ga.
In the SCAD accessory design program, students learn how to collaborate with peers and professionals to conceptualize, design, and implement an eclectic range of luxury fashion accessories and products for a competitive market. As a professor, you will join a team of international faculty members to lead students through every step of the design process using your expertise in accessory design, construction, and bespoke shoemaking techniques. From concept to completion, you will provide unparalleled and individual attention to prime students for their careers in the thriving accessory industry.
SCAD Savannah is woven throughout one of TIME magazine’s 2021 “Greatest Places in the World.” The city of Savannah’s inviting climate and a culturally rich downtown provide a living laboratory for the study of art and design, and a dynamically layered learning environment in which students, faculty, and staff flourish.

Requirements
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in accessory design or a related field
- Expertise in patternmaking and construction for handbags and/or footwear
- Technical experience in design theory preferred
- College-level teaching experience preferred
