The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neurogenetics, with experience in neural single nuclei transcriptomics of postmortem brain samples from humans, rodents, and non-human primates. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge in the theory and application of bioinformatic and statistical genetic analyses of these data. Furthermore, the ideal candidate would have experience in applying these approaches in collaborative efforts to examine diseases and disorders relevant to the Department of Psychiatry. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include the development of a productive extramurally funded research program in neurogenetics, defined by the obtainment of extramural research funding of adequate depth to support the candidates lab group and publications in high impact journals. Ideally, this program would include extensive collaboration with the other faculty in the department.
