These studies adapt existing behavioral science evidence as well as novel patient, provider and system approaches to identify, diagnose and treat patients at elevated ASCVD risk that will increase and sustain physical activity, improve hypertension management, and lower cholesterol.
Job Description
The Division of Health Policy is seeking a highly-motivated Project Manager A be responsible for day-to-day management, planning and execution of research projects to reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk for Penn Medicine patients. These studies adapt existing behavioral science evidence as well as novel patient, provider and system approaches to identify, diagnose and treat patients at elevated ASCVD risk that will increase and sustain physical activity, improve hypertension management, and lower cholesterol.
The Project Manager A will oversee multiple rapid cycle pilots, leading to the design and implementation of a large randomized control trial to reduce cardiovascular risk by lowering LDL and managing hypertension focused on patients in West and Southwest Philly and in Lancaster, PA. Activities include protocol development, study set-up, and implementation.
The PM-A will oversee and conduct recruitment, screening and enrollment, data collection via electronic processes, database management and quality assurance activities, study document development and management, daily conduct and management of study interventions. They will manage study budgets, source study supplies as well as train and supervise junior research staff. The PM-A will be responsible for IRB correspondence and regulatory compliance and tracking of medical incidents and adverse events. The PM-A will communicate regularly with leadership on progress, prepare reports and assist with the preparation of manuscripts and submissions of publications.

Qualifications
BA/BS is required, Master's degree preferred; 3-5 years related or relevant experience required. The position requires strong organizational and problem solving skills. An interest and experience with behavioral science solutions are preferred; including comfort with new technologies, study devices and web-based platforms and software. A familiarity with electronic health records is a plus. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to thrive in a diverse working environment. Proficiency and comfort with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as web based communications and data-base/tracking tools (e.g. Slack, RedCap, Zoom) is required.
The salary range available for this position is $70,958.00 - $76,000.00.
This position is contingent upon funding.
