Full Time Lecturer – Operations Management

The Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking to fill a position at the Full-Time Lecturer level to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare operations management, and related business fields, effective September 1, 2022. 

Minimum requirements: Master’s Business degree, with an emphasis in healthcare operations management, Lean Operations, and related fields. Successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated excellence in teaching business courses. Teaching responsibilities could include courses in Management of Healthcare Operations, Lean Operations in Health Care, Creating Value Through Operations Analysis, Project Management, and other similar courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the college of business. Service responsibilities include student advisement, engagement with student/industry projects, engagement with student clubs and competitions and other related activities.  Applicants should have at least five years of full-time, progressive, relevant work experience. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate continued professional currency and industry engagement through active participation in industry organizations, serving on boards, or other forms of ongoing professional certification or development.

Preferred requirements: Specific interest and experience in areas of healthcare operations management and professional certifications in such areas as PMP, Six-Sigma, etc., are preferable.
