Responsible for using these technologies, and others, to attract qualified prospective students to each of the programs and nurture them to apply; provide data analytics services and derive data insights that support marketing directives.

Responsibilities/Duties

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing Strategy and Operations, and as a team member of the Wharton Marketing and Communications Department, position is responsible for utilizing Salesforce CRM, Pardot Marketing Automation Platform, and multiple analytic platforms to successfully market the Wharton MBA, Executive MBA, and other degree programs.

CRM MANAGEMENT - Use Salesforce CRM and other related technologies to successfully market the Wharton MBA, Executive MBA, and other degree programs. Responsible for actively marketing to over 3 million annual web visitors, with oversight of more than 100,000 prospective student records, with current and projected growth at 15-20% annually. Oversee inbound marketing efforts using Marketing Automation and CRM tools in support of each academic degree program for the purpose of attracting qualified prospective students and nurturing them to apply; provide data analytics services and derive data insights that support marketing directives. Working with Sr. Director, Marketing Strategy and Operations, develop strategies for growing the lead pool through innovative inbound marketing strategies, including A/B testing, and nurture campaigns to drive site traffic through SEO, email marketing, landing pages, and other techniques.

DATA ANALYTICS -Utilizing the MarComm Department's suite of automated marketing tools, responsible for capturing critical and invaluable data; analyze data to effectively map student journeys; ensure marketing automation and Salesforce CRM platforms are updated according to schedule. Integrate insights into marketing reports and strategies tied to academic program goals. Working closely with Sr. Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations, and academic program partners, provide strategic guidance, recommend updates and refinements to business processes, and develop and update Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

PROGRAM PARTNER SUPPORT - Serve as the primary data and system liaison and point of contact for each academic degree program. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of each degree program's goals, objectives, pain points, intricacies, target audiences, seasonal trends, and business processes. Support data cleanliness and the innovative use of CRM in nurturing prospects. Develop strong working relationships with partners and contacts from each academic degree program. Earn their respect, trust, and confidence. Serve as a knowledgeable and reliable strategic expert and partner; provide vital, critical, and valued expertise that helps the program attain its goals.

DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT - Working with the CCMO, the Sr. Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations, and key members of each degree program, develop an annual marketing plan based on degree program goals. Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports to clearly communicate progress and identify potential pivots. Support institutional events that the department is responsible for executing, including, but not limited to MBA Convocation, five Wharton graduation ceremonies, one on the West Coast and four on the East Coast, MBA Welcome Weekend, Wharton virtual events, Wharton Business Daily, Wharton Digital Press and Knowledge@Wharton , Linkedin Live, as necessary and required, including occasional evenings and/or weekends. Select, hire, train and supervise student workers and temporary employees.

All other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years solid experience working in client development and support within a CRM, business analyst and/or lead role
  • Exceptional comfort level while working in quantitative and qualitative environments


Technology Skills:
  • 2+ years experience working with Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, or other Marketing Automation tools preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within groups
  • Possess strong knowledge and understanding of marketing automation and how it relates to CRM -Understanding of landing pages, A/B testing, and attribution preferred.
  • Ability to quickly understand the high-level technical and program goals of the organization and how lower level departmental goals fit with them
  • Ability to use CRM and related tools to develop business intelligence
  • Salesforce Certification preferred
  • Comfortable and capable of working with data and experience creating data visualization dashboards


Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience
  • Excellent judgment and high energy required, along with the ability to multi-task and produce while working within tight deadlines
  • Must be able to act consistently with integrity; handle confidential material with complete discretion
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills (required)
  • Ability to create professional presentations using PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to respond with confidence to questions and concerns
  • Experience in and comfort level with data analytics, creation of reports, and ability to present and defend analytics.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively within tight turnaround schedules (required)
  • Ability to formulate technical specifications from business requirements (required)
  • Experience working within a Marketing Technology/Operations environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work across diverse groups, including faculty, staff, senior administrators, and peers to problem solve and deliver best practice solutions to the degree programs
  • Ability to build trusted relations, present data and analytics, and interact confidently with Senior Leadership
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners across the school and university
  • Ability to work with vendors, build relationships, problem solve
