Founded in 1829, UCC provides transformational learning experiences that foster the development of head, heart, and humanity, and inspire each boy to make a lasting and positive impact on his world. Recognized as one of North America’s foremost boys’ schools, UCC also has one of the most generous financial assistance programs among independent schools in Canada, offering more than $5.4 million annually. A UCC experience appreciates diversity, celebrates differences, cherishes similarities, and gives voice to multiple perspectives. Graduates are highly regarded by top universities and post-secondary institutions worldwide, and alumni include leaders and innovators in politics, finance, arts, athletics, media, and beyond.

Vice-Principal, Enrolment Management

Reporting to the Principal, the Vice-Principal, Enrolment Management will lead UCC’s strategic enrolment management planning and implementation. In addition to contributing to the development and execution of whole-school priorities as a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice-Principal will lead the Admission team in all aspects of actively recruiting and admitting the most talented, high-potential cohort of new students each year, from across the GTA for the day program, and from across Canada and worldwide for the boarding program. The Admission team runs a range of on-campus and off-campus events, and works closely with the Finance Office to manage the College’s very generous financial assistance program.

The Vice-Principal will understand that multiple factors make for a student body that thrives academically and socially, reflects the pluralism and promise of Canada, and is a testament to community spirit and service within and beyond the College grounds. With strategic enrolment management leadership experience in a university or independent school, the Vice-Principal will be a relationship builder who inspires trust and leads with vision, curiosity, and compassion. Deeply committed to the transformative power of education and dedicated to advancing UCC’s values, the Vice-Principal will develop and implement strategies and processes that attract a diverse group of students, including boys who will derive the greatest possible benefit from what UCC has to offer. This is an opportunity to create unforgettable first impressions that develop into long-term relationships that transcend graduation.

Education is critical to building an inclusive, just society. When we equip learners to challenge stereotypes, bias, and fear, and to understand their origins — and when we celebrate and support the identities of all in our community and make it safe for them to be themselves — we create true belonging. UCC is implementing a multi-year strategy that aims to remove barriers and biases that impede belonging and inclusion, and to integrate a breadth of voices and experiences. It addresses eight anti-oppression categories: ableism; anti-racism; antisemitism; homophobia and transphobia; Indigenous reconciliation; anti-Muslim discrimination; sexism; and socio-economic discrimination. We are paving the way for positive change in seven specific categories across all aspects of College life: curriculum and pedagogy; students, programs, and support; people, organization, and professional development; admission; community; facilities and learning environments; and monitoring and evaluation.

UCC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity, encouraging applications from all qualified individuals. UCC embraces pluralism – celebrating differences, cherishing similarities, and giving voice to multiple perspectives. If you are contacted regarding a UCC opportunity, please advise if you require any accommodations. UCC encourages applications from all qualified applicants; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
