The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on spinal cord injury and disease. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Teaching responsibilities may include the teaching of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.

Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide coordinated interdisciplinary care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient care settings.

We are seeking candidates interested in expanding our services in partnership with surgical subspecialists and the allied rehabilitative teams across the Penn Medicine Health System (including the Pennsylvania Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine) and the Michael J. Crescenz (Philadelphia) Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Such candidates must have excellent clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions.
