Job Description Summary
The Associate Director of Creative Content works closely with the coaches, athletic communications, social media, video content and marketing teams to create engaging content for recruits and fans for Penn Athletics and Recreation via graphic design, video and photography. The position will serve as the lead graphic designer and brand manager for the Division, serving both the administrative areas and coaches, and create digital content for social media with video and photography. Responsible for working closely with many areas of athletics to develop ideas and establish production schedules to ensure consistent content for social media.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead graphic designer and brand manager for the division. Develop and create content for internal and external needs including but not limited to social media, website, emails, print advertising, digital advertising, video boards, ticket sales, print flyers, promotions, sponsorships and more. Assist teams with creative design needs for recruiting and team-specific social media accounts. Create promotional content for internal departments like CSAS and sports performance. Assist with the fulfillment of sponsorship contracts by creating content for print advertisements, digital posters, signage and more. Partner with the facilities staff to ensure facility projects that have design elements are on brand. Assist with the design of facility branding when necessary. Develop a creative design request and prioritization system to manage division wide requests. Responsible for the annual design look for the division. Create integrated event and sponsor logos when necessary.
  • Create compelling video clips from games and practices to be used on social media and PennAthletics.com. Attend practices and games to create engaging grassroots video content to attract fans and recruits. Create motion graphics for use on social media and video boards. Collaborate with Director of Video Content to ensure standards are met.
  • Supplement Division's professional photographers by creating digital photographs that promote the Penn Athletics brand and its sports for use on social media, both the main accounts and team-specific accounts, and PennAthletics.com.
  • Create internship program in creative services to create additional pieces of content.
  • Serve as webmaster of PennAthletics.com and PennRelays.com, managing relationship with external vendor.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree is required and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in college or professional athletics or a related field (graphics design, social media, video production). Strong graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is required. Video editing and digital photography experience also preferred. Familiarity with intercollegiate (NCAA) events, activities, and operations preferred. Ability to comply with all NCAA/Ivy League rules and regulations. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability and willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Budgeted Pay Range:

$45,000 - $50,000, commensurate with education and experience.
