Job Description Summary
As a team member of the Wharton Marketing and Communications Department, responsible for successfully marketing the Wharton MBA, Executive MBA, and other degree programs. Oversee inbound marketing efforts using Marketing Automation and CRM tools for the purpose of attracting qualified prospective students to each of the programs and nurturing them to apply. Reports to the Director of Marketing Operations and Analytics (interim reporting to Sr. Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations).

Job Description

Responsible for successfully marketing the Wharton MBA, Executive MBA, and other degree programs. Oversee inbound marketing efforts using Marketing Automation and CRM tools for each program for the purpose of attracting qualified prospective students and nurturing them to apply. Reports to the Director of Marketing Operations and Analytics.

Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), within and across programs, with inbound strategies, A/B testing, and campaigns that drive site traffic through SEO, email marketing, landing pages, and other techniques. Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing to target specific audience segments, working with each program team to coordinate assets, deliver emails, enhance social engagement, and ensure that best practices are being followed to adequately track results after implementation. Work closely with the PPC, Content, and Creative teams to ensure a holistic approach to marketing efforts.

Analyze data to map student journeys and ensure that marketing automation and Salesforce CRM platforms are frequently updated to align with student journeys. Integrate these insights into marketing reports and strategies. Provide strategic guidance, recommend updates and refinements to business processes, and develop and update Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Work closely with colleagues in each program to support data cleanliness and the innovative use of CRM in nurturing prospects. Work closely with the Senior Associate Director of CRM to develop a thorough understanding of the business and marketing needs of each department, translate those needs into appropriate Salesforce configurations, and create processes to facilitate the adoption of Salesforce and the use of the tool to meet business goals, as well as identify opportunities to improve business functions through the use of the Salesforce.

Maintain a solid understanding of each program's goals, objectives, pain points, intricacies, target audiences, seasonal trends, and business processes; and educate the Marketing and Communications team about these as needed. Develop strong working relationships with contacts from each program, earning their respect, trust, and confidence as a knowledgeable and reliable strategic partner who provides vital and valued expertise that helps the program attain its goals.

Work with the CCMO, the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations, and key members of each program to develop an annual marketing plan based on the program goals. Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for each program that clearly communicate the progress.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years solid experience working in client development and support within a CRM, business analyst and/or lead role


Technology Skills:
  • 2+ years experience working with Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot, or other Marketing Automation tools preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within groups
  • Possess strong knowledge and understanding of marketing automation and how it relates to CRM -Understanding of landing pages, A/B testing, and attribution preferred.
  • Ability to quickly understand the high-level technical and program goals of the organization and how lower level departmental goals fit with them
  • Ability to use CRM and related tools to develop business intelligence
  • Salesforce Certification preferred
  • Comfortable and capable of working with data and experience creating data visualization dashboards

  • Excellent judgment and high energy
  • Must be able to act consistently with integrity; handle confidential material with complete discretion
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills (required)
