The Division of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs (CCPA) seeks candidates for a
professor of practice to teach in the Division’s undergraduate Public Relations and Strategic
Communication degree program beginning August 1, 2022.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in communication, business, or related field; at least
10 years of experience in corporate communication; expertise to teach courses in public
relations, crisis communication, consulting, and internship; demonstrated effectiveness as a
teacher of undergraduate students; and a desire to contribute to the program’s national reputation.
The program’s applied focus and level of executive/practitioner interaction requires applicants
with significant field experience, including management responsibilities. Candidates with a
Ph.D. are encouraged to apply.

Additional expertise desirable in: Financial communication, startup/entrepreneurial
communication, digital communication, data analytics, and/or experience working with adult
learners or executive education programs.
Workload: The selected candidate will teach three courses each fall and spring semester across
first-year to senior students and actively serve as faculty advisor to CCPA’s Public Relations
Student Society of America chapter to increase its visibility and connections to the practice, the
Dallas Chapter of PRSA, the Public Relations Society of America, and other professional venues
beneficial for students.

The Division of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs: The Division houses two
rigorous, selective undergraduate programs serving 120+ majors in the Meadows School of the
Arts. In addition to the B.A. in Public Relations and Strategic Communication that focuses on
external corporate affairs, the Division’s B.A. in Corporate Communication and Public Affairs
offers focus areas in organizational communication, political communication, and social
innovation and nonprofit engagement as part of CCPA’s mission to prepare students to take
leadership roles in corporate, nonprofit, and governmental sectors. CCPA offers programs of
study in London, Washington D.C., and Taos, NM; access to a 29-member Advisory Board of
communication executives; and additional, compensated teaching opportunities in January, May,
and summer terms. As CCPA expands its offerings, new graduate, professional, and executive
