The Mathematics Department at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for an open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Computational Mathematics.

Undergraduate students at Emory can choose from six Bachelor’s degrees and two minors in Mathematics. Emory’s Laney Graduate School offerings for PhD students include programs on Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, and Computer Science and Informatics. Students at Emory are taught by award-winning teachers and advised by faculty who are recognized leaders in research. The relatively small size of the mathematics department allows for personal interaction between students and faculty and provides an excellent research environment. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding records, or potential, in research, teaching and mentorship. Applicants must also have research and teaching interests that complement Emory's current and vibrant research strengths in computational mathematics. These include numerical linear algebra, data science, inverse problems, numerical optimization, numerical partial differential equations, and computational mechanics. Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline, and outstanding teaching, advising, and service credentials (or potential) related to undergraduate programs.
