The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroendovascular and cerebrovascular surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be ABNS eligible.

Teaching responsibilities may include education of medical students, residents, and fellows, including direct oversight of the neuroendovascular fellowship.

Clinical responsibilities may include neuroendovascular and microsurgical treatment of cerebrovascular disorders including aneurysms, AVMs, ischemic disorders of the brain and spine, and hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic research in cerebrovascular disorders and neurovascular technology, with funding from the NIH or other federal agencies or industry.

Candidates should have completed fellowships in both endovascular neurosurgery and cerebrovascular microsurgery. They should be well published and demonstrate promise to be a leader in vascular neurosurgery.
