The Maine Business School (AACSB Accredited) at the University of Maine seeks applicants for two teaching faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer in Management and/or Marketing, with an anticipated start date of August 30, 2021. These will be full-time, ongoing appointments, renewed annually based on satisfactory performance. A preference would be for a candidate to have experience or interest in topics such as Introduction to Business, Principles of Marketing, or Principles of Management & Organization, however other management and/or marketing experience or interest is welcome and encouraged.

The successful candidates will be expected to be effective and engaging teachers, to make a strong commitment to the development of innovative curricula, mentor undergraduates in pursuit of their academic and research goals, and to collaborate with colleagues to improve student success. The typical teaching load is four courses per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level. The candidates will be expected to participate in our maintenance of AACSB accreditation. Service to the School, University, and in the Community is expected.

Documented successful college-level teaching is essential for the position. Preference will be given to those applicants with documented participation in teaching activities promoting excellence in student outcomes of learning. A Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field alongside at least 5 years of professional experience in Management and/or Marketing is required. Preference will be given to candidates with additional years of significant work experience as well as related professional credentials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are valuable for success in this position.
