The Maine Business School (AACSB Accredited) at the University of Maine seeks applicants for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Lecturer, with an anticipated start date of August 30, 2021. This will be a full-time, ongoing appointment, renewed annually based on satisfactory performance. A preference would be for a candidate to have experience or interest in Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions, and International Corporate Finance, but other finance or business administration experience or interest is welcome.

The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective and engaging teacher, to make a strong commitment to the development of innovative curricula, mentor undergraduates in pursuit of their academic and research goals, and to collaborate with colleagues to improve student success. The typical teaching load is four courses per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level. The candidate will be expected to participate in our maintenance of AACSB accreditation. Service to the School, University, and in the Community is expected.

Documented successful college-level teaching is essential for the position. Preference will be given to those applicants with documented participation in teaching activities promoting excellence in student outcomes of learning. A Master’s degree in finance, business administration, financial economics, or a related field alongside at least 5 years of professional experience in Finance is required. Preference will be given to candidates with additional years of significant work experience and a CFA or other finance-related credentials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are valuable for success in this position.
