Job Summary:A Jesuit institution located in the thriving Denver, Colorado metro area, Regis University invites applicants for an Assistant or Associate level position in the Department of Counseling. Co-housed with a Department of Family Therapy and uniquely positioned in the College for Health Professions, the Department of Counseling utilizes a state-of-the-art training clinic and provides opportunities for inter-professional education and the delivery of integrated healthcare.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:Faculty responsibilities include teaching; student advising; service to the department, division, college, university and community; research; and clinical practice.

Qualified individuals must have an earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program. May also qualify with a related doctoral degree, strong professional counselor identity, and employed as a full-time faculty member in a CACREP accredited counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013. Must have mental health licensure or eligible for State of Colorado licensure through the Department of Regulatory Agencies.

  • Experience teaching and academic preparation for counselor education program (CACREP) foundations
  • Clinical experience providing counseling to marginalized and underserved populations
  • Use and implementation of CACREP standards, with an orientation toward curriculum development.
  • Training and experience as a clinical supervisor
  • Strong background in pedagogy/andragogy
  • Excellent collegiality and collaboration skills.
  • Engaging and motivational teaching approach.
  • Willing to invest in a collaborative, team-based approach to research within the Division and College.
