Department of Philosophy
New York University Arts and Science

The Department of Philosophy of New York University ( http://as.nyu.edu/philosophy.html ) invites applications for up to four Bersoff Faculty Fellowships, areas of specialization open, to begin September 1, 2020, pending administrative and budgetary approval. This is a one-year appointment possibly renewable for a second year.

Responsibilities include teaching two undergraduate courses; both courses may be taught in the same semester, leaving the other semester free to pursue research. In case of an appointment to a second year, one of the two courses may be a graduate seminar.

For a candidate to be eligible, the Ph.D. must be received between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2020. Applications should include a CV, a writing sample, a research statement, a teaching statement and evidence of teaching ability, and at least three references. Because diversity and inclusion are an important part of the NYU mission, we request that you include a paragraph in your cover letter telling us how diversity and inclusion figure into your past, present, and future teaching, research, and community engagement (additional information can be found here: http://as.nyu.edu/departments/facultydiversity/recruitment/diversity-statements.html ).

Please apply online to Bersoff Fellow Search at https://apply.interfolio.com/68661 . Completed applications must be received by November 1st, 2019 to ensure full consideration.
