Lecturer and Coordinator of Introductory Psychology

The Psychology Department seeks to fill a non-tenure track, long-term renewable contract position for a Lecturer and Coordinator of Introductory Psychology, beginning in July 2020.  The successful candidate will teach 5 courses per year (4-5 of which will be lecture sections of introductory psychology), coordinate and bring innovative pedagogy and leadership to shape the curriculum of all 7-8 sections of introductory psychology, advise psychology majors, and supervise student research (e.g., senior theses). Candidates will have the opportunity to pursue research in their own area(s) of interest, including research on effective pedagogical practices. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology (open to all subfields), experience teaching bright, motivated, and diverse psychology undergraduates, and a strong interest in mentoring student research in a liberal arts context. Trinity College is a co-educational, independent, nonsectarian liberal arts college with approximately 2,300 undergraduate students and 220 faculty located in Connecticut’s capital city of Hartford.
