As an academic administrative assistant, you will provide comprehensive and professional administrative support services to the office of academic services, as well as your assigned school dean, faculty, and staff who serve within the organizational structure of the school. This is a high-level administrative support position that requires advanced project and people management skills through operational and administrative responsibilities, including tasks that require confidentiality, accuracy, punctuality, responsiveness, and agility.
In this role, you will lead departmental administrative assistants within your assigned school on academic projects and university initiatives, as well as collaborate with the academic operations managers to help academic departments meet requirements and deadlines on operational matters. Your collaboration will extend to all units of the university, including working on accreditation initiatives with institutional effectiveness; recruitment with admission; student matters with student success, registrar, career and alumni success; professional partnerships with SCADpro; academic content for printing and publishing with creative services; awards and rankings with institutional recognition; and more.
The successful candidate will be able to meet deadlines and work accurately and with confidentiality. The candidate should be capable of both collaborating with multiple departments and working independently, and they must exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills. They should also display a commitment to honesty, integrity, and discipline.

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of related professional experience
- Demonstrated success working with executive-level personnel
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (especially Word and Excel) and Banner, or a similar database
Preferred qualifications:
- Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign)

- Valid driver’s license
Travel required:
- Less than 10%
