As the learning experience designer, you will facilitate the advancement of teaching and learning initiatives through the development of dynamic SCADnow courses, the design and production of instructional media to support online learning experiences, and by modeling best practices in instructional engagement. Responsibilities will include training SCAD faculty and students on how to utilize educational technology usage to advance learning and engagement across all SCAD locations and learning modalities. In this position you will collaborate with faculty, academic leaders, and other subject-matter experts to design dynamic learning experiences to support online learning; identify, create, and curate academic content and artifacts that exemplify engaged teaching and learning; produce and deploy transformative, engaging student and faculty-facing technology resources and interactive media for an array of digital platforms; and support professional development and student orientation programs through various methods.
As the designer, your duties will include developing content for educational technology initiatives and working with faculty to ensure course readiness and relevancy. You will be expected to participate in the review, testing, and implementation of system updates and enhancements; proactively develop measures to ensure that faculty and student engagement continues without interruption; propose advancements to existing educational technologies to ensure effective utilization and operations; and research new educational technologies to augment and further amplify digital learning experiences. You will additionally be responsible for outreach to students, faculty, and staff regarding the availability of educational technology and academic engagement learning opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to communicate complex information effectively to audiences from diverse backgrounds and levels
• Ability to work effectively in both collaborative and independent scenarios
• Ability to problem-solve and multitask to achieve measurable outcomes
• Excellent project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Master's degree in technology or education-related disciplines and/or comprehensive work experience related to teaching, educational technology, or related field
