As the administrative assistant, you will arrange guest travel and itineraries for press trips; execute departmental reporting of articles, data, and highlights through event-based coverage reports, quarterly short-term outcomes, and the annual president’s report; and be responsible for managing all reporting, data, and analytics. In this position you will track all articles mentioning SCAD by using Cision and Google Alerts, manage highlights and top bullets for executive administration, and list all SCAD location events in local publication event calendars.
In this role you are responsible for assisting the team on-ground with guests, compiling prep documents for various activities, coordinating with other internal departments, maintaining a list of contacts and media visits for the department, and facilitating contracts with the legal team, keeping signed records. As the administrative assistant, you will be expected to pay departmental invoices in a timely manner; coordinate office supply and gift bag material orders; compile informational decks to share internally; and assist with all things related to travel, expense, and calendar coordination.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the PR field or working in an academic institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Cision, and Google Docs
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Driver’s license
Travel Required:
- Less than 10%
