Assistant Director of Enrollment

As the assistant director of enrollment, you will play a vital role in fostering relationships by providing personalized assistance to students, parents, and educators throughout the various stages of the admission process. In this position, you will receive and meticulously process all documents required for admission and scholarship evaluation. Responsibilities include following up with students to ensure their applications are complete, gathering any necessary information to support their applications, and providing them with the critical information they need to consider enrollment with SCAD.

It is imperative that you become an expert in educational systems and trends within your assigned territory. You will occasionally travel to your markets for recruitment opportunities and collaborate closely with other departments to strategize and execute outreach events. In this position, you will serve as your students' primary financial aid contact. To students and families, you must explain the federal aid process (FAFSA; Parent PLUS Loan). Responsibilities include supporting families with understanding the cost of attendance, establishing a financial plan, assisting with the FAFSA verification process, and extensively tracking balance due on individual accounts.

You are expected to remain knowledgeable of all university policies and procedures to communicate accurate information about the university effectively and to maintain a close working relationship with supporting offices. The ideal candidate will proficiently operate management systems (Salesforce and Banner) to meticulously record and track documents, contacts, and other pertinent information while strictly adhering to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, organization, customer relations, and public speaking skills
  • Must work well under pressure and be able to shift focus quickly with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to travel as needed

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Valid driver’s license

Travel Required:
  • 20% to 40%

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
