Senior Motion Graphics Artist

As the senior motion graphics artist, you will ensure department-produced graphics support SCAD’s mission and goals set by university leaders. You will be responsible for collaborating with a team of artists, strategists, designers, and writers to develop creative assets for SCAD events, recruitment, and marketing. You will be expected to conceptualize, develop, and implement motion media graphics with a multi-disciplined team and to communicate all updates or issues that might impact project team members’ timeline.

The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for design, the arts, and all things creative, and the ability to work with a team of motion media designers. They will also contribute to department budgets and research, request technology and equipment purchases, and stay up to date with emerging software and technology to maintain industry standards. As the senior motion graphics artist, you will be responsible for researching inspirations and providing recommendations for keeping SCAD’s film content innovative and creative.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • At least 3 years of experience in motion media or relevant industry
  • Master of Adobe After Effects
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, present, and develop motion media
  • Knowledge of 3D, UI, UX, VR, AR, and visual effects

Travel Required: Less than 10%

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
