The University of Houston (UH) invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Effectiveness (APIRE). The Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Effectiveness reports directly to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, and is responsible for all aspects of the development, design, and implementation of institutional research initiatives including performance management, academic data management and reporting, accreditation, and program evaluation.

At UH, there are 19 fellows of the National Academies on the faculty, which comprises over 2,600 faculty, serving over 46,000 students. Academic units comprise 16 colleges that include the colleges of Architecture, Arts, Business, Education, Engineering, Honors, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Medicine, Law, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Technology.

The University of Houston’s next Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Effectiveness should possess a master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed, a minimum of 10 years of direct job-related experience, and proven experience in conducting institutional research. The successful candidate must embrace excellence and integrity and exhibit the leadership abilities required to achieve the University’s vision.
