As the assistant director of admission, you will interact with prospective students, their families, and educators through creative presentations and individual attention. In this role, you will identify and recruit high caliber students for SCAD while nurturing a positive opinion of the university and plan and coordinate travel as needed to represent the college at events. In doing so, you will foster relationships and build a network consisting of teachers, counselors, students, parents, and alumni. The assistant director will assist with the application process and enrollment reports while keeping accurate and thorough records for future reference.
In this position you are expected to select and invite educators to attend SCAD’s Educator Weekend, acting as their host. You will utilize SCAD resources in recruitment efforts, keeping accurate and thorough records in Salesforce, and provide timely entry of all events into the master calendar.
You will be responsible for following up with prospective students via phone or email to discuss individual interests and to answer any questions, provide admission information and needed supporting documents. You will monitor their enrollment status. In this position you will attend events such as scholarship award ceremonies, SCAD Days, on-campus events, and college tours as needed. Additionally, you will take an active role in admission training by staying up to date with policies and providing feedback/ideas to leadership.This position includes extensive travel: 18 weeks in the fall and 12-15 weeks in the spring.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver's license
Travel required: Over 50%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.

- Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
