With the division’s continued legacy as a Top 10 program nationally, its recognition as a regional center of excellence for a five-state area, a leading fellowship program, and a robust commitment to programmatic resources, we believe the role to be a top leadership opportunity in academic child health.
The incoming leader will have the opportunity to continue the legacy of the program and carry the responsibility for implementing a strategic plan that will guide the division into its future. The division’s mission is to improve clinical outcomes for children with kidney disorders by providing outstanding evidence-based clinical care, educating the next generation of nephrology caregivers, and advancing nephrology scholarship. The successful applicant will be responsible for oversight of clinical care and education in all sites, faculty development and retention, and advancing the national stature of the program with visionary leadership and innovation.
Appointment as full time Associate Professor (non-tenure) or Professor (non-tenure) of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievement. This is a 12-month service period position from July 1 to June 30. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Qualifications
Applicants are required to have an MD, or DO, or MD/PhD combined (or foreign equivalent). The successful candidate must be board certified in Pediatric Nephrology and have completed training in an accredited Nephrology fellowship program.
