Post-Production Manager

As the post-production manager, you will oversee multiple long and short-form video projects from production wrap through final delivery, including asset procurement and management, legal liaison, and ensuring quality control (QC) of output. You will also consult with the team about expectations, milestones, and budgets during pre-production, as well as hire freelance talent as needed (editors, color correction, sound, etc.). Primary responsibilities include media management and archiving, overseeing implementation of graphics and third-party assets (including accuracy of information on screen), schedules for editing, reviews, and notes (and implementation thereof); QC and final asset delivery; and maintaining communication between producers, editors, and freelancers.

In this role, you will regularly detail and provide reports on the status and anticipated delivery dates of all video content under executive media, identify opportunities for repurposing video content across multiple media platforms, work with the SCAD legal department and third parties to ensure the timely legal clearance of all digital assets, and design and maintain a post-production calendar to monitor the progress of current projects and keep a record of all finished projects. Utilizing Click-up, Frame.io, and Slack, you will work interdepartmentally with the SCAD video team and photo archivists, assign projects to editors, proactively monitor the progress of current videos in post, re-evaluate due dates if needed, maintain open communication with all stakeholders, and assist in coordinating freelancers for long-format projects.

As a direct representation of the office of the president, you must maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor at all times as you establish and maintain positive working relationships with key leaders in other SCAD departments, such as museums and exhibitions, events, marketing and PR, advertising, social media, visual media, and others.
