Assistant Director of Enrollment

12 Month Salaried Staff FT

As a full-time assistant director of enrollment, you will build strong relationships and networks with teachers, prospective students and their parents, and alumni through captivating presentations, individualized attention, and occasional in-person meetings. You will encourage prospective students to visit SCAD locations, meet with these students and their families during visits, and follow-up with prospective students regularly via phone, email, and in-person visits.

As an advocate for students, you will encourage the submission of portfolios for submission for SCAD scholarships, acceptance, and evaluation; provide counsel on the admission process, academics, scholarships, and financial questions; and prepare prospective students’ applicant files for presentation to the admission review committee. Among other responsibilities, you will participate in call-a-thons and Live Agent sessions as well as SCAD Days and Focus Days for prospective students and parents, counselors, and teachers. You will also serve as Saturday admission coverage four to five times a year, and travel to off-site events.

The successful candidate is an outstanding written and verbal communicator with equally exceptional presentation skills. Organized and highly detailed, the candidate is strategic in accomplishing goals. Knowledge of the web and web-based software is essential.

Minimum Qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree required
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills, ability to think strategically and work toward department goals
o Must work well under pressure and be able to shift focus quickly
o Positive attitude
o Experience with excel/power point/word preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid Driver's License

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
