Assistant Director of Admission, SCADnow

As a full-time assistant director of admission for SCADnow, you will represent SCAD through individualized attention, presentations, information sessions, school-specific events, and other recruitment activities, and will advise prospective students on SCAD programs that best match their interests and abilities and answer questions about the admission process. You will follow up with prospective students, keep activity records using Banner software, and manage applicant files. You will stay up to date on all SCAD policies, procedures, locations, programs of study, scholarships, housing and financial aid, study abroad, and other opportunities.

Among other duties, you will host and maintain ongoing SCADnow tour experiences, host drop-in meetings for incoming SCADnow students and staff, and supervise SCADnow graduate fellows on outreach initiatives. You will also supervise the SCADnow recruitment strategy, provide consultations to the domestic and international recruitment team, and participate in Live Agent and online chat sessions throughout various points in the admission cycle.

The successful candidate must be a spectacular written and verbal communicator, with equally exceptional interpersonal skills. The ability to deliver dazzling presentations and stay organized is a must, and the candidate should also thrive as an independent contributor.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to travel as needed (10-20%)
  • Proficient with Blackboard, Zoom, and other field-standard online applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Banner and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with SCAD

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
