The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Hematology, Medical Oncology or both.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as advanced practice providers and pharmacists and their trainees. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with hematologic malignancies. Other clinical responsibilities will include the care of patients receiving allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation and those receiving other cellular immunotherapies such as CAR T cell therapies. Autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation with or without genetically modified stem cells, for indications such as sickle cell disease or autoimmune disorders may also be part of the candidate's portfolio.

Our Cell Therapy & Transplant program is the largest program in the region and has over 30 years of history performing hematopoietic stem cell transplant and more than a decade of experience with CAR T cell therapies. The program continues to grow rapidly and we look forward to bringing in candidates who will embrace and fulfill a robust clinical and research enterprise.
