The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of DBS programming, botulinum toxin injections. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in Neurology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinic and on bedside rounds for the consult and inpatient services. Teaching will be predominantly in the Movement Disorders including diagnosis, treatment with botulinum toxin, and neurostimulator programming.

Clinical responsibilities may include attending in the outpatient clinic of the Movement Disorders Center and the Philadelphia VA Parkinson Research Education and Clinical Center (PADRECC). There may be a small amount of attending on the inpatient neurology services and supervising residents in their clinic. Opportunities for collaboration on clinical and translational research including clinical trials and observational studies may be available in addition to participation in review and expert consensus reports. Movement Disorders fellowship preferred.
