Job Description Summary
The University of Pennsylvania's Educational Talent Search (ETS) Program is a federally funded program designed to help first-generation students from modest income families successfully complete high school and enroll in postsecondary school. Educational Talent Search provides approximately 600 students in grades 6-12 from three middle schools and six high schools throughout Philadelphia with support services that promote the academic and personal development necessary for entry into and success in postsecondary school. Our services are completely free to eligible students.

Position Description: Working remotely, the Graphic Design Coordinator will design and facilitate virtual workshops and other programming for 6th-12th grade students in Philadelphia public schools.

Job Description

Specific Duties
  • Design and facilitate virtual Graphic Design workshops and programming for Talent Search Program's 6th-12th grade participants
  • Provide small-group and individual tutoring as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Background working in a school environment and/or with school-age participants; current teacher preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with graphic design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Up to date with popular graphic design industry software and current trends
  • Understanding of layout, color theory and typography
  • Applicants with school clearances preferred
