Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Full Professor positions in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neonatal and fetal neuroscience. The successful candidate must have an established record of independent extramural funding, high-impact publications, and a strong national/international reputation. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching trainees while in clinic and on service (if applicable), and mentorship of junior physician-scientists and trainees.

Clinical responsibilities may include neonatal neurology care and fetal consultations. Care responsibilities will include outpatient clinics, inpatient coverage, inpatient afterhours on-call service, and possible practice at various locations.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include publishing peer-reviewed publications and presentations of work at scientific meetings and other venues, and establishing an innovative, independent clinical and research program in neonatal and fetal neuroscience that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. The candidate should have a track record of obtaining federal and/or not-for-profit funding and, as well, support from industry and philanthropy that is scientifically, educationally and mission appropriate.
