The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of genitourinary pathology. Experience in frozen section coverage and an additional surgical pathology subspecialty is desirable. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certification/Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology is required and an unrestricted medical license/eligibility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents, and fellows in Perelman School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Demonstrated teaching expertise at the residency or fellow level is important.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical service responsibilities in the genitourinary pathology service as well coverage of frozen sections, night and weekend call, and occasional autopsy coverage. Additional ability for coverage in another surgical pathology subspecialty is desired.

The successful candidate with have 5+ years of experience in surgical pathology with focus in the specific area of genitourinary pathology.
