The Talent Acquisition Specialist will effectively and creatively source and track prospective candidates for open and future positions across job families. As a critical part of the Talent Acquisition team, the TA Specialist will identify hiring needs that span the University and develop pipelines of appropriate candidates using various sourcing strategies. The TA Specialist will support the TA team with the maintenance and organization of the candidate database and candidate pipelines. He/she/they will track open and upcoming positions and to identify and screen candidates for knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies. In support of the University of Pennsylvania's commitment to Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, will take the lead on engaging with community and other organizations that serve the underrepresented populations, identify job fairs as opportunities to increase diversity hiring and promotion of Penn jobs. This role will support the creation and delivery of presentations to hiring officers on best hiring practices.

The TA Specialist will participate in the maintenance and shared knowledge base of current recruitment and legislative changes and trends. Active participation in all Recruitment/HR related activities including job fairs, internal trainings, and community events. Staff Recruiter will identify, maintain, and promote knowledge and benefits of recruitment tools and technologies available to the TA team, HR Partners and hiring managers.

A Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Passion to place the right people in the right jobs preferred; agency or in-house recruiting experience a plus. Deep knowledge of /experience, with Internet recruiting tools and applicant tracking system required; knowledge of Workday preferred; Excellent communication, listening & assessment skills, strong customer orientation; knowledge of applicable laws & regulations helpful; high level initiative, judgment and creative ability; keen technology skills needed. HR certification preferred.
