Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Data Scientist with a dotted line to the Director of Student Advising, the Senior Associate Director manages the strategy and future direction of various online platforms, for example, MAP, WACC and any other platforms to provide a highly personalized, data-driven platform experience for students. The Senior Associate Director will work closely with our data scientist to help provide insight, set strategy and drive development of projects that will leverage past student outcome data and industry insights to provide personalized analytical research tools aimed at helping students make smarter professional decisions with higher probabilities of success. The individual in this role will act as the analytics translator and negotiator between the advising, employer engagement and data science teams, in order to help drive adoption and track the impact of proven and deployed analytics solutions.

The Senior Associate Director will also partner with the MBACM Programs and Communications team and the Alumni Team to launch and drive usage of new data tools and digital platforms. Job Description

The Senior Associate Director should have experience working closely with data scientists and software developers on advanced analytics (AI/ML) projects, preferably in a strategist capacity. The individual in this role should be an effective communicator, able to drive conversations and align expectations among various stakeholders, and should be able to understand highly technical concepts and translate them to a lay audience. Experience with data science and data visualization tools, including R and Power BI, is highly preferred.

In addition, the Senior Associate Director instructs, counsels, and advises MBA students on long-term career development as well as immediate job search objectives for full-time MBA positions and summer internships within the Tech industry. Working in partnership with other Senior Associate Directors that have interaction with Technology employers and students, this position will provide direction to the Relationship Manager(s) in developing a strategic plan for cultivating and growing new mature and enterprise technology employers based industry growth and student feedback. The Sr. AD will work closely with a number of important internal and external groups including faculty, students, employers, and alumni to expand and enrich the employer partnership and achieve the goals of Career Management. Finally, the Sr. AD will establish strong relationships and partner with relevant student clubs and leaders to establish open channels of communication and promote digital tools and platforms.

Qualifications

This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of 28 hours of work per week. As a regular part-time staff member, you will be eligible for limited University benefits .

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five to seven years of prior work experience in recruiting, job placement, career counseling or coaching and/or significant industry experience in Technology / Telecom required; MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred . Experience working closely with data scientists and software developers on advanced analytics (AI/ML) projects required, preferably in a strategist capacity. The individual in this role should be an effective communicator, able to drive conversations and align expectations among various stakeholders, and should be able to understand highly technical concepts and translate them to a lay audience. Experience with data science and data visualization tools, including R and Power BI, is highly preferred. Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, macros, visualizations, etc) is required.

Highly motivated and dedicated individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous managerial experience required, along with an ability to work as a strong team player. Able to interact across multiple levels, and willingness to go above and beyond in order to achieve the required goals. Deep knowledge of business and business careers, and strong written and oral communication skills, are essential. Preference for experience working with data scientists and understanding of machine learning and what it can accomplish.
