The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of advanced heart failure including cardiogenic shock, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants should be board certified in Internal, board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases, and board certified/eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation.

Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students, residents, cardiology and advanced heart failure fellows. The academic clinician track requires a minimum of 100 credits per year of active and high quality teaching activities or equivalent service.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure/transplant service and outpatient clinical sessions in the heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant clinics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
