VISITING PROFESSOR POSITION(S) IN CHEMISTRY

SCRIPPS AND PITZER COLLEGES

The Chemistry Program of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges seeks to hire 1-3 visiting professors to teach in our general chemistry, chemistry for non-majors, and upper-division physical/analytical/instrumental courses beginning August 2023. Opportunities to teach upper-division courses and direct undergraduate research projects are also possible. This position is a full-time, one-year appointment with the potential for renewal. Rank will be either Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Professor, depending on experience. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.

The salary for this position will range from $72,000-$88,000 and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
